Wake up still hazy and trying to piece together a dream
heat up the water, first thing
the coffee feels nice and warm on my tongue and I can almost feel the
alertness spread to the back of my skull
i am watching the news and now i wonder if food will ever be
affordable to the homeless person who always sits outside my local
Tesco?
i think about the people who grew, picked, packaged this
Colombian Risaralda coffee that supposedly is “fairtrade” – is it
actually fairtrade if the global south will be worse off than
the global north with climate change and settler colonialism?
i sip more coffee
